THE TIME TO FIX THE ROOF IS WHEN THE SUN IS SHINING

This sentence describes one of my core values as I believe in preventing instead of treating and that you shouldn’t wait for that moment that you have no other choice but to change. I do believe that you have to take care of the problem before it becomes the problem. Take care of your hormones before you end up with hypothyroidism, cancer or infertility. Take care of your digestion before you end up with leaky gut and autoimmune diseases. And take care of your brain, before you end up with alzheimer.

Speaking of alzheimers. Let’s say you do choose to wait. Wait until you get sick before changing anything. Are you aware that many of our most common diseases are diseases in which there is no treatment for, at all? Alzheimers is our most dreaded brain condition and a disease in which there are no treatment for, whatsoever. We live in a society where we are pretty much told, «do whatever you want to do», and when you suddenly come down with a problem, there is a pill for you. But as you read this, there is no treatment, no magic pill, that will reverse this condition. The responsibility is on you. The changes in the brain, leading up to alzheimers, begins before you can’t find your keys, before you go into a room and can’t remember why. It begins 20-30 years ahead of time. The good thing is; our brains destiny is something that we can control. We now know that 70-80% of our DNA is under our direct control, by living a healthy lifestyle, eating appropriately, by making sure our sleep are restorative and by limiting stress. This way we can pave the way for a healthy brain (and life).

Another frightening fact is; if you become a type 2 diabetic, you have doubled your risk for alzhemeiers, again, a disease for which there are no treatment. In America alone, 23 million people are confirmed diabetics already and one third of the adults are pre diabetic. I mean what? It’s time to fix the roof guys. Because if you lose your health, you would trade anything to get it back, just talk to anybody that’s in a hospital bed. And the best way to maintain your health is to prevent issues.
