SUPPORT THE LIVER BY KEEPING THE PATHWAYS OF ELIMINATION OPEN

The liver plays a major role in hormone-health (and health in general) because it’s the organ that breaks down and metabolizes excess hormones, like mentioned in this post. The pathways of elimination are your body’s way of getting rid of waste, like toxins and ‘used’ hormones, (both waste that your own body produces as well as waste coming from the outside). The liver is one pathway of elimination, the others are: the intestine, kidneys, lymphatic system, skin and lungs. These mentioned pathways work together which means that by supporting one, you’ll also support the others.

Practices to keep the pathways open

  • Avoid chemical loaded personal care items

  • Dry brush

  • Don’t use antiperspirant

  • Sweat! Sauna and infrared sauna is great

  • Deep breathing exercises (to engage the lungs)

  • Poop

  • Hydrate
